Some Poker cheating technics

Cheating in poker can be a problem for players at all levels. From cheating poker players in casual pickup games to poker cheats in the best casinos and poker rooms, poker game cheating is an issue that all players should be aware of. In this article, we’ll discuss some of the ways players who cheat in poker try to separate you from your money.

Cheat #1: Marked cards. To cheat successfully, cheats in poker games need to know the value of cards not in their hands. Cards that are marked on the back in some way are one of the easiest ways to know an opponent’s cards. With the advent of the Internet, already marked decks are easily available. And in today’s high-tech world, it’s possible to place marks on cards that are visible only if cheating poker players are wearing a special pair of glasses.

Cheat #2: The greedy folded player. If someone has folded and you notice him showing an inordinate amount of interest in the pot, it could be that he’s one of those poker game cheaters looking to steal a chip or two. This type of poker cheating is so prevalent that it has its own name, “check-topping.” A player executes this type of cheat by seeming to be organizing the pot into stacks, etc., when what he’s really doing is palming chips.

Cheat #3: The dishonest discard. In this cheat, a player discards fewer cards than he claims, meaning that he gets an extra card or two in his hand. For example, a player can discard only two cards and claim three, so he ends up with an extra card in his hand. He then makes the best hand he can and either ditches the extra card surreptitiously or holds on to it to use in a later hand if he needs it.

Cheat #4: Angle shooting. This is an attempt by a player to use the rules of poker against the other players and for his own advantage. The most common manifestation of angle shooting is acting out of turn. Here’s an example, at showdown, a player who’s supposed to act after you declares that he has a certain hand, like a straight. This causes you to fold your flush. When he shows his hand at showdown, it’s not a straight. You end up losing a hand you should have won.

These and many other cheats in poker make the game less enjoyable for all players, especially the honest ones.
